Harriet Sokmensuer is a multimedia artist based in San Francisco, California, currently focusing on fiber arts and sculpture. She was born in Manhattan and spent her adolescence between New York and the South of France. In 2013 she graduated from the University of the Arts London with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and moved back to New York, where she wrote and reported on true crime for PEOPLE Magazine. Before relocating to the West Coast in 2020, Harriet published the zine nap, which has been featured in Printed Matter’s N.Y. Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1 and L.A. Art Book Fair at The Museum of Contemporary Art.
